Education, Training, and Experience
Education & Clinical Training
Bachelor of Science in Human Services (2015)
Kennesaw State University
My undergraduate training in Human Services shaped my understanding of individuals within the context of their relationships, communities, and life experiences. Through practicum and internship experiences, I supported individuals and families navigating substance use, end-of-life transitions, and advanced-stage dementia, deepening my understanding of grief, resilience, and compassionate care.
Master of Social Work (2019)
Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI)
During my graduate training in Social Work, I expanded my clinical skills through internships in hospice care and crisis intervention settings, supporting individuals and families experiencing grief, trauma, emotional distress, and life transitions.
Postgraduate Clinical Training & Somatic Education
Following graduate school, I recognized that the traditional clinical training I received was wonderful, though it left out the body as a key part of the healing process. I felt drawn to explore the role of the body in healing, recognizing the mind-body connection as an essential part of the therapeutic process. I became a certified yoga teacher and upon return, gained additional clinical experience in crisis intervention and eating disorder treatment settings, working with clients at the PHP and IOP levels of care.
I later completed advanced training in somatic therapies with leading experts in the field, including Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, Dr. Peter Levine, Deb Dana, Dr. Pat Ogden, Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, Ann Weiser Cornell, and others. This led me to pursue training in Somatic Experiencing, which I completed in 2025. I continue to expand my clinical education and am currently training in Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy to deepen my ability to support each client’s unique healing process.
